I am a big fan of Encyclopedia Brown from way back. This time, however, the cases all involve recipes.
While that is an interesting idea, I'm not sure how many children would really be interested in cooking.
It might turn some children off of the book, and that makes me sad.

In addition to multiple cases for Encyclopedia Brown, this book also includes cooking tips and recipes in every other chapter. While sharpening children's readings and logic skills, students can also get a safe start on cooking. These creative and exciting books are great for readers who want

something easy to read, but also pose a challenge in solving the mysteries along with the main characters.
