elements to them where you couldn't help but love the monsters anyway. His illustrations are enjoyable to look at and are watercolor. I thought it especially clever how he did a watercolor picture of himself as a monster on the back flap of the book jacket. The back cover of the book has a shy little monster peeking out of a tea cup. Florian invites you to step in to his monster motel and get to know his beastly critters, but also warns you that you may not want to leave! He was right about that! Show Less

Monster Motel is a collection of short poems about different monsters staying in a motel together. It has a poem some of the guests and workers that reside at the motel. It is a collection of silly poems sure to keep and reader giggling.

This collection of poetry is about monsters who are staying in a motel. The author writes the poems in a very childlike manner. The poems are meant to be spooky however they are not. The illustrations are done in watercolor. This would be a fun book to read to students everyday during the month of

This was a fun book to read because of the imaginative monsters at work in the book. The poems went with each monster as you flip the pages.
