Summary: This is a silly book based off of the nursery rhyme “Hey Diddle Diddle.” Two cows, Millie and Maude, steel four sets of boots from their owners and set off to jump to the moon. The children notice that they are missing along with their shoes and go after the two cows. The cows make it

This would be a good read for advanced first grade or early second grade readers. It is about two cool cows who borrow some kids boots and jump over the moon. It has a tricky rhythm but will help them practice sounding out words and putting them together.

I liked this book for the illustrations. The illustrations followed the story. If readers struggled with the reading, then they could still have an idea of what was happening. I didn't like this book because of the writing. It was very hard to read properly. I stumbled throughout the whole story.

Nice, quirky illustrations, story sort of nonsense.
