This book is a great book about history throught the experiences of children from the past. It makes whatever child reading this book able to put themselves into the story and real life situations that happened throughout history. I like this book because it not only cover American history, but

highlights important historic moments around the world as well. There are lots of pictures, fun facts, and side stories that attribute to the overall positive notes of this book. I think it would be an excellent book to base a class project off of, where you could let each student pick a topic to research.

Hm.  Great concept.  Presented in the format of an Eyewitness (tm) book though, which is not effective for me.  I guess historical fiction works better.  The biggest problem that I have with it, though, is that there is no bibliography, no list of recommended reading or related resources.
