The story is about how Paul Bunyan met his wife and the family they had together. He and his wife had two children, a boy and a girl. Growing up, they created some of the natural wonders of North America, such as Niagara Falls and Old Faithful. The story explains how and why they created these

wonders.

I have always enjoyed the tall tale of Paul Bunyan. I enjoyed this book because it tells what happens to Paul. It explains the "happily ever after" part that is often missing from stories. The author was very creative in how he kept to the original story about Paul creating massive land forms and rivers. It also has excellent illustrations that show the Bunyans creating the land forms.

This would be a good story to read during a tall tale lesson. The teacher could explain that this is the other half of the story about Paul Bunyan. (Of course the teacher should read the original story of Paul Bunyan first.) Another project the students could participate in is writing. The teacher could ask the students to pick their favorite tall tale and write what they think happpens next.

Paul Bunyan met his wife, Carrie McIntie, in the forests of Kentucky and they were both gigantic! They were married right away and had two children, Little Jean and Teeny. Throughout the story there are several geographical references to Mammoth Cave, Maine, Niagara Falls, the Grand Canyon, Sand

Dunes of Colorado, Atlantic and Pacific Ocean, Rocky Mountains, Old Faithful, Yellowstone National Park, England and Italy. All the many adventures of the Bunyan family are entertaining and would be a great way to introduce a unit on geography.

This book tells the story of Paul Bunyan, his wife, and his two rowdy children. Paul Bunyan's wild children traveled all over the United States. Paul Bunyan's children end up creating the Niagara Falls, Bryce Canyon, the Old Faithful geyser and much more. This book would be great to read to second

or third graders. All of the funny things the Bunyan kids do is sure to entertain readers!

Sweet story about the legendary Paul Bunyan and his family. The Bunyans go on vacation and create a landmark everywhere they visit. I use this story when I teach geography lessons. This is a good story to retell. It is pretty short but very entertaining. The book is part of my personal collection.

This story follows Paul Bunyan after he marries and has children. The author describes how he met his wife and the journeys of the family that have lead to many natural wonders of the world.

This book is a good one to read when studying tall tales and hyperboles. Students can very easily see how a

tall tale might explain how something came to be.

A wonderfully illustrated book about the further adventure of Paul Bunyan and his family. It is charming and masterfully illustrated. Some geography follow-up on the real places it references would help a class really appreciate it.

In this legend, a giant lumberjack who helps form Niagara Falls and Old Faithful for his convenience are sure bring smiles and laughter to young readers. The book on Paul Bunyan is appropriate for primary readers.

In this story, it introduces the Bunyans and what they do. It could be a read aloud and children can write stories or make up their folk stories from what the Bunyans do. The best ages would be 2nd to 3rd grade. A child would be able to read this on their own and could explain the life of the

Bunyans from this book.

I *know* I would've loved this when I was a child. I loved tall tales, and this is faithful to the pattern popular back then - plausibility be hanged, humor and joy abounding.
