I love the combination of Brown's poetry and Minor's illustrations. Nice way to introduce poetry to preschoolers, also nice tie-ins for seasons, rabbits, and other animals.

This book by Brown is a collection of five poems that Brown wrote. I liked this collection because it is different from a regular book you would pick up off the shelf. The bunny shows up on each page and it seems to have a sparkle in its eyes. Each poem can easily be read and some ryhme!

The paintings are very soft and lifelike. They add to the meaning of the words. There are five poems in this book and the theme of this book is Nature. How can you go wrong with a book by Margaret Wise Brown? The poems are very thoughtful and easily accessible to the younger student. While the

poems are short, they are the perfect length for children in grades K-2.

Readers take a look at life deep in the green stemmed wold, the darkness of the sea, the animals view, and a particular moment in time. Margaret Wise Brown sensitively writes twenty-five poems in a rhythmic pattern; telling about the life of plants and animals. The format includes life in the

change of the seasons. The collection of poems can inspire the young reader to learn the format and rhythm of poetry as they carefully look at the world around them.

Nibble Nibble, Poems for Children by Margaret Wise Brown
Audio version so I am not seeing the colorful pictures.
Poems of bugs and their song during the day and nights.
Follows the trail as the bug crawls up the blade of grass or a leaf.
Particularly liked the firefly and lobster poems. Some silly

songs and you can just picture what is going on in your mind.
I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).

Illustrations: acrylic. This book is a collection of five poems about rabbits. The author captures the simple eloquence of the natural world and illuminates bunnies playing. Each poem is about something different that bunnies do and how they interact, but they're all connected in some way. It is

just a lighthearted story about how bunnies play and live their everyday life. This book is poetry because the author uses each poem to create a vivid image in the reader's minds and it appropriately tells us a story. Age appropriateness: primary, intermediate
