We really enjoyed this book and learned many amazing things about birds and their habits. We were as curious as Peter was about each and every new bird in the book. We paired this with a color in field guide for visuals of each bird and then listened to each bird's call after each chapter. This was

This is a lovely narrative nature study/science books. Peter Rabbit meets many different species of birds, and learns their stories - and children learn what they eat, where they prefer to live, etc.

One of my favourite books from childhood, a fictional account of Peter Rabbit meeting up with many species of birds and learning the actual facts of how the birds live, with beautiful illustrations of each species.
