The rain starts and makes a puddle. It keeps raining and the puddle gets bigger and runs into a stream, lake etc. Great story to talk about what happens when the rain keeps coming. Where is the rain going to go next? Age- 3years- 2nd grade

Book setting in a pond. Talks about things getting bigger. About animals, real life, water in the world. About rain and the rain stop at the ver end. Tracking water, natural progression of water. Good be good with science.

Summary: This book takes rain drops and take them from mountain brooks to lakes to rivers to oceans while incorporating several ecosystems.

Personal reflection: I especially liked this book because of the illustrations and the nature content. I think a lot of children's literature can focus on

stories rather than using nature to explore a point like the flow of water in part of the water cycle. I think this book would help small children learn the simple concepts of the environment, different cycles in nature, and where certain animals live.

In the classroom: I would use this book as a text set for weather or water cycles or a chapter that pertains to ecosystems. I could also use it as a group activity, asking students why lakes, ponds, rivers, etc. are formed and why they are important for ecosystems including our own.

This book is about how rain grew and grew until it formed a puddle and then it carried out into the river. The book then allows you to see all of the different things that happen when the rain over grows.
