Great book about a day-in-the-life... as a kid, I wanted to taste the beans they cooked over the campfire.

Lois Lenski stories are priceless and Cowboy Small doesn't disappoint it's audience at all. This is a great early reader book for any child. Before the story begins, Lenski included in this work, a brief cowboy glossary so the cowboy jargon doesn't take away from the story itself. Cowboy Small is

an old-fashioned cowboy. He fixes fences, rounds up cattle, brands animals and rides in a rodeo ring. This book might be stereotyping cowboys of the wild west a little bit, but it is cute and to a point fairly factual. Cowboy Small gives some insight into a life style that has almost been extinguished in modern America.

Cowboy small is a great easy read about little boy who lives the life of a real cowboy fixing fences and rounding up the cattle. Cowboy small is a book of little words and great pictures but get to the point.

I love this book and although it is a book for a young crowd the pictures are amazing

would use this book in an art class to demonstrate to the children that a good book doesn’t mean a lot of words that pictures can do the job just as well. I would ask the children to create there own picture book using as little words as possible and to let the pictures tell the story.

Cowboy Small is a great book just like the rest of the series that Lois Lenski wrote. Cowboy Small lives the life of a cowboy. He enjoys his time being a cowboy. Children who lives on a farm or wants to become a cowboy or cowgirl would enjoy this book.

Cowboy Small by Lois Lenski
Daily life of a cowboy. Love the terms used and explained and what the jobs entail as the cowboy does them.
I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).
