Although Eleanor had a rough childhood, losing her parents at a young age and being forced to live with her grandmother, she grew up to be a giving, sophisticated lady. She fell in love with her distant cousin, FDR. The two got married, but their marriage was upstaged by Eleanor's uncle, Teddy

Roosevelt. The couple had a total of six children--only one of them being a daughter. They unfortunately lost one of their sons in infancy. I think this book would be perfect for a child to reference for a biography project because it is filled with factual information.

Eleanor Roosevelt was a shy girl growing up, but she came to be one of most respected first ladies of the United States. She became a public speaker, helped the poor, and did many other things during and after her term as a first lady. Her husband, Franklin Roosevelt died and she had to move out of

the White House, but she continued with her services and helped people all around the country. This is a good example when teaching children that giving is better than receiving and to show that you shouldn't do things because you are expected to, but because it is the right thing to do. This biography on Eleanor Roosevelt accurately describes some of the main events before, during, and after her term as a first lady.

I learned a lot about Eleanor Roosevelt after reading this short story. I have only ever known about her husband so it was great to get some insight about her work. I think her story is inspiring. She helped change to come for all people. I think she has a great story being told through this book.

she continued to help people who had less then others. This story was another one that showed if you keep pushing in life you get what you deserve. It also shows how no matter how big you get you must always remember where you came from.

I liked this book for a few different reasons. First at the end of the book there are important dates that are listed for the reader to remember. It helps the reader understand the important dates and accomplishments in a table that is easy to read at the end of the story. The other thing is the

illustrations in the book are kid friendly the way they are drawn but also able to show the history of what she did in her life. They also help entertain and keep the reader engaged in the book. The book was made for the readers to understand the life of Eleanor Roosevelt and what she was able to accomplish even after her tough early life.
