The book was about a older penguin telling young penguins a tale of long long ago and how a little penguin went off by himself and found a group of friends. They sailed to a walrus club and danced. When the little penguin got tired he fell asleep by the sea and almost got eaten by a whale. The

little penguin got away and made it back to his friends. The little penguin lost a few tail feathers. I really enjoyed the book and it was funny.

A little penguin doesn't listen to his Grand Nanny. He runs away and plays and dances with all the other animals in the polar lands. Just before be gets eaten by a big wale, he escapes and runs back home. This is a good story for primary students. I think it is good to teach students to listen to

parents, teachers, and other adults.

Little Penguin's tale is very interesting! The end was quite funny. I think it will be a very good book for elementary school students. It has sort of a joke at the end, which I found pretty funny.

A lower level text that tells the story of the little penguin. Use on a lesson about penguins. Great illustrations will keep students interested in the text.

A little penguin goes on an adventure while his grandma tells a story to the other penguins. The story she tells matches up exactly with what the penguin is doing. This story is good to use to show students that listening to their parents and teachers can be good and can even save them from getting

hurt or in trouble.

Summary:
The Little Penguins Tale is about a Nanny penguin who tells a tale about how a young penguin ran away. The young penguin went and danced with gooney birds, and then went to lay down for a nap. He was then snatched up by a whale and was eaten, but then penguins didn't like the end of that
Show More
story so Nanny penguin changed it and the little penguin escaped and returned safely with only a few tail feathers missing.

Personal Reaction:
I think this a good book to read to children to teach them that if they run away or do something alone they might end up in some trouble.

Classroom Extension Ideas:
1. Make a penguin by painting the bottom of your foot and putting it on a piece of paper, add wings and then eyes and a nose.
2. Draw a picture of the penguin dancing with the gooney birds, and other animals.
