This a wonderful informational story about the state of Oregon. With every letter there is a long description about the facts they describe. Many parts and historical parts of Oregon are explained.
B is for Beaver shows many wonderful illustrations. They are of good quality and help describe the
Show More
facts giving the reader a better insight to the setting the facts take place. They may not catch the readers eye or put the reader in awe but they are helpful.

This book is a wonderful resource for teachers who are teaching about the state of Oregon. This makes it so this book is a great example of an informational text. The illustrations in the book are very well crafted and help the story immensely. The book is also great that it almost has two separate
Show More
texts, one that is more primary and one that is more advanced and detailed.

Review: This is a good example of an informational book because each letter of the alphabet is illustrated by objects that are associated with the State of Oregon and accompanied with more information. The information was

accurate and non-bias. It is a great way for individuals to become more familiar with Oregon.

This is an informative alphabet book with thorough historical and geographical lessons on Oregon. Great to use with state history, has some advanced language, also has poetry.

The illustrations are simple, yet beautiful. It is a great book to have in the elementary classroom. It is more than alphabet book, each letter has something from the Oregon coast. For example, A is for Astoria, then it tells about Astoria. I would use this in a classroom for fun and also for
Show More
teaching about Oregon.

review: This is a great book and a great example of the informational genre. The information is engaging and supported by beautiful illustrations. There is information from Astoria to the Nez Perce tribe who lived in the Wallowa Valey.

I like this book for the same reason I also enjoyed O is for Oregon. I think that children would find this book fun because they might reconize local sites they might have visited. It also gives families a good idea of places in the state to go. This book provides a more indepth look at the thing
Show More
being represented by the letter than O is for Oregon does. For example, Z is for Zoo shows a picture of the elephant that painted pictures at the zoo and tells a little story about that. It tells a similar story for each of the items represented by the letter.

This is an ABC book that tells a sweet story of things in Oregon; IE: G for Gorge, R for Roses, A for Astoria, and so on. It is an entertaining story on it's on telling a brief 2 or 3 sentences about each letters topic, but then also gives a very detailed description and history of those items.

This would be a great book for children of all ages. With older children you could tell them the story and then have everyone write a report on the topic of one of the letters.

This is a great example of an informational book because it has all the letters of the alphabet but all of the information is about the history of Oregon. It includes history about Astoria to the Willamette Valley and even information about the zoo. It has little poem like passages and then on the
Show More
sides it has more in depth information about each letter.

Genre: Informational- This is informational because it gives a lot of different facts about Oregon. This book was really interesting since I know little about Oregon and it's history.
I thought the facts of this book were realistic and true. One of the main reasons
