I think the paperbacks of these would be the better to own, as they have the family tree. For a long time here I was confused about which brother was older, despite having read the first three Caroline books already. This is *not* a stand-alone.

interesting finally, and that there are some serious community issues discussed such as Camp Meeting, for example. I now have to get the next from the library though because not much happened about Martha here and she had been the one with the most interesting potential. Btw, I did the math - I expect Thomas grew up to serve in the Civil War, maybe Joseph too. Show Less
