This informational book explained what happened to the parrots who once lived in the rainforest in Puerto Rico. The book highlights the reason why the birds were forced out, and why so many of them were dying when they were in the rainforest. they explained the impact that the war had on them,

along with the spread of new nations, which brought different kinds of animals to inhabit the parrots land. The book then explained how the scientists helped re-establish the parrots into another rainforest. the book were collages that I believe were made out of paper, and the book opened from the top, rather than from the right to the left. The information in this book was written in a fascinating way as well, so overall this was one of my favorite informational books that I have read thus far. I would definitely have this book in my classroom and would use it as a mentor text. This text would be good for any ages. Show Less
