Description

Popular author and scholar Dr. Scott Hahn has released a collection of essays on the study and interpretation of Scripture from a Catholic perspective. Aptly titled Scripture Matters: Essays on Reading the Bible from the Heart of the Church, Dr. Hahn takes a penetrating look into the depths of Scripture, showing the reader how to uncover its many layers of meaning and inspiration. Scripture Matters serves both as an instructional guide to reading the Bible and as a delightful meditation on the grandeur of God's Word. Dr. Hahn effectively illustrates his discussion with the writings of Saint Thomas Aquinas, Saint Josemar a Escriv , Cardinal Ratzinger, and other exemplary scholars of Scripture who truly speak "from the heart of the Church."

This book helps explain scripture in a concise and well defined way. In time, this book may prove to be one of Hahn's most practical contributions to Christendom apart from his excellent works of apologetics. The book is well-written and useful.

Clear and concise information on each book. Invaluable

aid especially for beginning readers of the Bible. This is a great book for those that want to understand what the purpose of each book of the bible is and why it is organized as it is. Everything makes sense.

It not only explains the context and content of the Bible, clearly and poetically, but it reminds you that the Bible is a love letter from God. It helps you see the Word with new eyes and understand it with a new heart. Highly recommended.
