Description
The women presented here were in love with the Trinitarian God, whom they knew in intimate ways. Many reveled in spiritually passionate ecstasies but alternately suffered intense physical pain & emotional anguish. Fortunately, these women were able to write or dictate what they'd seen & heard. Here is a collection of writings of women mystics from the 12th cent. into the 18th cent: St. Hildegard of Bingen; St. Clare of Assisi; Blessed Angela of Foligno; St. Gertrude the Great; Mechtild of Magdeburg; Blessed Margaret Ebner; Hadewijch; St. Bridget of Sweden; Blessed Julian of Norwich; St. Catherine of Genoa; St. Teresa of Avila; St. Jane Frances de Chantal; Blessed Marie of the Incarnation; Blessed Mary of Agreda; & Jeanne Marie D.L.M. Guyon.
