Being a thirty something married female, I am not the intended audience for this book :) That being said, I really enjoyed the first installment in this series. It is so rare to find popular Catholic fiction, that I wanted to give this a try. This is a quick read, but an enjoyable one. I liked the

character development that occurs here, and the genuine nature of their faith lives. As soon as the second book came out, I bought it. From a librarian that is on a serious budget for her voluminous reading habit, this is high praise indeed :)

An upstart Catholic highschool, seven unique students, and one sneeky prankster, is the recipe for the adventures recorded in Catholic, Reluctantly. From runaway cows, to evangelizing at the public school dance, no situation is too big for these kids to tackle. However, someone does not want this

school to stay open and, while not all the students are thrilled to be there, they learn to work together and keep their school. The characters are very true to life, suffering the same temptations many teens suffer today, but with heroic results. For that reason, this book is recommended for ages 12 .
