Description
For Morwood, Jesus is to be closely identified with God. Is Jesus God? is an invitation to Christians--and non-Christians--to challenge their inherited notions of how and why Jesus is to be thought of as divine. Morwood begins by rejecting what so many Christians have already rejected, the notion of inherited sin. What few realize, however, is that rejecting the teaching calls into question the nature and role of Jesus and salvation as it has been traditionally understood. Is Jesus God? concludes with chapters on the implications of open discussion about Jesus for ministry, liturgy and theology. Furthermore, to encourage use in adult faith formation, each chapter concludes with a set of discussion questions.
