This is the sadist book I ever read. If this was book a movie it would be good. Someone pushed Sammy (main character) of a three story fire escape! Who was it?I liked this book because it had great suspense; I was wandering who did it till the last chapter. I would recommend this book to people who

Im sorry but I hated this. One of the things I appreciate about the series it it being told from Sammys perspective so without that this barely felt like it was in the same series as everything else. I felt like I was watching a clip show episode of tv, or reading a mismash of all the things the

author had cut from the other books. I get the intent was to show how Sammy has made a difference in the lives of the other characters but this felt like the laziest way possible to do that. Instead of showing the effect throught the series (by doing things like acknowledging that Cricket even exists outside of the one book she is in or have Sammy talk to the people in her town) its spoonfed to the reader in a series of sappy anecdotes and rehashes of old cases. Speaking of rehash I was not impressed by the fact that the ableist plot from earlier in the series was brought up again. Also not happy with the way the nightie napper case was solved...it felt both ableist and kinda transphobic??Anyway I usually only do one star reviews for books I would physically fight and I would love to fight this book because it could have been so much better and for the series to end like this pisses me off.
