Sixteen-year-old Raven, a vampire-obsessed goth girl, searches for her true love, Alexander, who she has learned is a real vampire.

Description

Life in "Dullsville" has become far from dull for goth-girl Raven. After meeting Alexander Sterling—a night-thriving, shadowy dream guy—her dark world suddenly has a bright glow. But as in her favorite movie, Kissing Coffins, Raven knows that love always has its complications. And Alexander has a secret—a secret she must quietly guard. When he mysteriously disappears, Raven finds herself on a dangerous chase to find him. What she encounters is more terrifying than she could have imagined—including a life-transforming decision she may not be ready to sink her teeth into.

In Kissing Coffins Ellen Schreiber presents a chilling and suspenseful sequel to her popular tale of an unusual teen romance, Vampire Kisses.

The second instilation is in some ways better than the first book. Schreiber writes Raven in a believable manner and gets her points accross without becoming preachy. I really liked this book.

Alexander disappeared at the end of the first book, and Raven is quite lost at first. However, watching one of her favorite movies and talking to her best friend, she decides to go looking for him. She gets spooked before she sees him by another vampire who creeps her out, so she goes back home. He

follows her and Alexander comes back home as well, and then they have to battle it out for Raven. Told in the same perky manner as the first book. Light and fluffy.

Reworking of first book in the series: mean potential love interest for heroine must be prevented from hurting her true love. Not that this is a problem: it's still fun to read and sometimes funny and meant for someone much younger than me.

pretty lame for me... seems like it was written for about a twelve to thirteen yr old which is ok if i was twelve or thirteen which i am not...:)

Vampire Kisses 2 continues the story of goth girl Raven and her vampire boyfriend Alexander who has left town. Raven decides to hunt him down at the beginning of this book.
She travels to Hipsterville where her aunt lives and ends up meeting the mysterious Jagger, who offers to help her. But is he
Show More
really who he says he is and why is he so interested in Alexander?

I had some mixed feelings about this book and had to force myself to finish it. The writing seemed very shallow and I felt like nothing in the plot was really exciting or unpredictable. I would say this series is geared toward the younger pre-teen set, and being someone who is out of their teens, it may have just been too "young" for me. For parents who don't want their children reading vampire stories with adult situations and gore, this series would be appropriate. I would say that the first book was definitely better than this one.

Just as good as the first one. If you don't mind weird stereotypes, this book is good. I thought her rendition of vampires is odd. It's very hollywood movie, classic- blood sucking, garlicfearing, only goes out at night, lives in Romania, wears black, has a creepy butler...need i go on?
But still,
Show More
cute and a quick read if you need a break from serious literaature.

I am review the wonderful book, Vampire Kisses 2: Kissing Coffins. It was well written by: Ellen Schreiber. I chose to read this book because it is the sequal to Vampire Kisses, (a book I enjoyed greatly) also written by: Ellen Schreiber. I really liked this book as well as the first one. It was

imaginitive, funny in parts, and something I could see myself getting into.

In the end of the first book, her vampire boyfriend Alexander leaves. In this book, she goes to find him. To start looking, she begins by visiting her Aunt Liby in, "Hipsterville" as she calls it. Which, I could see myself asking my parents to go somewhere, and really go somewhere else. Which, she does go to Hipsterville, but the real reason was to find Alexander. She goes into a night club called, "The Coffin Club", and meets Jagger Maxwell. That's when things get bad. And me being me, I can really relate to things going bad!

I didn't really expect there to be an awesome night club, or her to sneak off to her Aunts to go looking for Alexander. I figured she'd stay home, and he would out of nowhere come back to her. I know, lame, but still, that is what I thought would happen. Instead, she looks for him, avoids obstacles on the way, and finally finds him! But anyways, I loved it, and was very pleased with Mrs. Schreiber's work.

In search for her Vampire love, Goth girl Raven sets too to visit her Aunt in a place she calls Hipsterville. But instead of only bringing Alexander back, she also bought the harbinger of chaos, Alexander's nemesis - Jagger, brother of Luna, Alexander's ex-fiancé. Fun, quick read for a boring

night with no good show on TV or while waiting for the books that you have ordered to arrive. Don't expect a great mystery though.

Not a bad series so far, not as meaty as other vampire books. We'll have to wait and see what's in store for Alex and Raven in the next installment.

This book is about how Alexander leaves. Raven is heartbroken and tries to find him. She goes to live with her Aunt and is having a blast. When she sees Creepy dude she know that Alexander is here. So she goes and looks for him. She finds him but at what cost? If you want to know then you have to

read and find out.

I think you should read this book if you like mystical beings. If you like how one person changes everything you should read it. You should also read this book if you like adventures. This book is both written and is in anime. So if you like comics then read the anime. I would sugest the people you like things that aren't real they should read this book.

It's been a while since I read this book so I don't remember much, just that is was another fun, and stupid read. In the end Alex and Raven find each other, but there is trouble afoot that continues in the next book.

Easy read - took less then a day. Predictable but it was good.

Part of Raven's charm is that she's impulsive. In search of what she instantly perceives to be the love of her life. (Can't stand insta-love!) She visits her aunt for the sole purpose of looking for her new boyfriend who has disappeared.

Raven is starting to come over as shallow and selfish. When
Show More
she encounters another vampire, she quickly hops a bus for home. What is the vampire had decided to torture her aunt to find out Raven's where abouts? Either the thought never crossed her mind or she didn't care. Raven is so one dimensional we don't know what's in her head besides Alexander.

There doesn't seem to be anything deep about Raven and while she complains about being an outsider I think it's not so much about the clothing see wears as much as her attitude. The cute quips in some of the conversations still pop up from time to time but I don't think those few episodes will be enough to sustain this series.

The story was interesting only because of the male vampire character. The main female character is very immature and girly, for being a supposed goth. I found the vampires intriguing, however.

Ah, yes. Another throwback from my teen years - Kissing Coffins, the second book in the marvelous Vampire Kisses series.

Just a gentle reminder, these books are Young Adult novels with young, lovely characters who act like immature kids (because, they are YOUNG). If you're looking for a True Blood
Show More
or Game of Thrones level of maturity, you've come to the wrong place.

As a teen, these books were my LIFE. They were a big part of my high school years and I was madly in love with them. I wanted to find my own Alexander and live in a big, spooky house. I idolized Raven and her style (because, let's be honest, she was my inner self). At the time, these books made so much sense - young mistakes, young love, lots of young fun! Reading them as my older self, obviously I wouldn't make the same decisions as Raven because I have life experience. But I believe Ellen did a really good job of making Raven feel like a real teen. Well, a real teen from my timeline.

That being said, this book is a lot of fun, full of goofiness and full of adorable romance. Alexander and Raven are a really cute couple and they really deserved the many books they got in this series. I found this series was a lot more fun to binge read then read alone. I wanted the story to keep going because I was so addicted. Not every reader has found this to be true, but I sure did! I love escaping into a YA like this series, and sinking into a fun, not totally realistic book. Did anyone really expect a vampire romance to be realistic? This series is like a vampire, soap opera for teens! It's excellent.

My biggest con for this series was at the time of my initial reading, I had to actually WAIT for the next series in the book. Oh man, was it frustrating. I'm glad I can jump back into this series as an adult and read it all in a row like I dreamed of back in the day. Other than that, I found this book to be fun and flawless! I love Ellen and her books!

Five out of five stars!
