An adorable tale that is amazingly effective with only 3 words: hug, Mama, and Bobo. A great book about the restorative power of hugs.

As a basically "wordless" book, its not nearly as good as "Goodnight Gorilla" but its still pretty cute. Ali understands the story at 15 months, and she likes to act out the reunion at the end, but running away, and then running towards me for a big hug.

Alborough shows he is truly a master but writing a heart-wrenching story through the use of only one two words. My wife tears up, each and every time she reads this story.

I've given this book as a gift several times--perfect for preschoolers.

How many times has one just wanted something as simple as a hug? Bobo was seeing everyone hugging everywhere he went. He wished he could have someone hug him. He was yearning for a hug. Finally, his mother came and hugged him! This made him happy again and realized that he could hug all of his

friends that were there as well. Sometimes, all it takes is a hug to make someone feel better. It is something simple, but it is meaningful. After Bobo got his hug, he felt secure and wanted again just from a simple hug.

LIttle Chimp sees lots of hugs in the forest and talks about them all- but realizes quickly he would like a hug. Great for young kids- wonderful with my three year old. She really feels like she is reading and we get to work on expressing feelings by saying the word "Hug" in different tones. It

does get a little old the 100th time we've read it, just since discovering it about 6 weeks ago.

A cute little chimpanzee named Bobo wanders away from its mother as it watches other wild animals affectionately hug their offspring. The animals all pitch in to help find the one Bobo wants to hug.

A cute story is told with just three words and some very adorable pictures.

One that very young readers can easily read on their own, with warm illustrations.
