This Girl and Boy Paper Dolls are a series of international costume works by Dover Publications. Each consists of 8 leaves or plates for a total of approximately 32 costumes. Despite the title, and although the 2 paper dolls that are included on the gatefold are children, the costumes are often

adult.

Compared to Tom Tierney's series, these seem more oriented towards children than adults. The costumes are a little easier to cut out, although anyone wishing to cut every little fiddley-bit may get frustrated. They are extremely charming (and I have most of them), but not as informative. These do not include any historical or cultural information, except for a map showing the location of the various costumes.
