This was a short chapter book in a series called Aladdin Angelwings. The main character, Patricia, is deaf and is moving from her grandpa's farm into the city. The Little Friendship Angel is given the task to help Patricia make friends so that he can earn his wings. The Little Friendship Angel

learns the meaning behind friendship and ultimately helps Patricia make friends (without ever directly interacting with her). You learn that Patricia's mother and father are deaf, but her father has learned to speak.

This book is good at discussing the challenges of having a physical handicap, and learning to accept others for who they are.

This book plays with perspective, as the chapters alternate between The Little Friendship Angel and Patricia.
