When the bunny family came home to find a bundle of joy left on their doorstep, Dot was concerned. After all, that cute little bundle was a WOLF! Dot is the only one that sees beyond her little brother's cuteness, she knows what he really is... Or does she? Very cute story

about how one little bunny handles a new addition to her family.

(Plus it got a few smiles out of our 4.5 month old, Evie...she lives for daddy to read stories in funny voices and this one worked very well for that.)

I absolutely loved this book! I could totally hear Dot yelling, “He’s going to eat us up!” This is a book I will be buying for my group because the topic of new siblings is one that often comes up.

From the second Wolfie was dropped off on the Bunny families front porch. Dot, the daughter, objected to having a baby wolf in the house. She was worried that Wolfie would "eat them all up".Wolfie grew bigger and so did his appetite. Dot took Wolfie to the store where they came across a bear.

Wolfie was dressed as a bunny and the bear tried to eat Wolfie. Dot exclaimed that if the bear didn't let go of Wolfie she would eat the bear up, scaring him away. Dot and Wolfie hugged and Dot learned that maybe Wolfie isn't so bad after all.

When Dot the bunny and her parents return home one day, they find a baby wolf on their doorstep. Immediately smitten with this lupine youngster, Dot's parents adopt Wolfie despite their daughter's repeated warnings that he is eventually going to eat all of them. Although he soon has the elder

bunnies charmed, Dot remains obdurate is her rejection of Wolfie, until the two are confronted by a hungry bear at the carrot store. It is only then, when Wolfie is in danger of being eaten, that Dot discovers that she too feels a sense of love and loyalty to this new family member.

A fun little tale, one which explores the themes of cross-group adoption and getting a new sibling from the perspective of the existing child in the family, Wolfie the Bunny pairs a humorous narrative from author Ame Dyckman with engaging artwork from illustrator Zachariah OHora. Any child who has felt a little neglected and/or ignored by their parents, upon the arrival of a new member of the family, will identify with Dot, and will be led by the narrative to consider the impact of their own actions on their new sibling. The illustrations, done in colorful acrylics and meant to be a tribute to Brooklyn, capture the quirky humor of the text, and add to the fun. This is the story of how a bunny family found a baby wolf on their doorstep and adopted him. The wolf's sister did not think they should adopt him, she thought he would eat them all. The wolf loves his sister and followers her everywhere but she is not happy about it. One day when the wolf eats all

the carrots the sister goes to get more but wolfie wants to come too. At the store a bear attacks wolfie but the sister protects him and from then on she no longer thought wolfie was going to eat them.

The young rabbit Dot is trying to warn her parents that the wolf dressed in bunny clothing is not to be trusted, but alas they do not listen to her. This is a delightfully original story about giving yourself permission to change your mind after you learn that you were wrong.

This story is hilarious

and I think it would be popular during story time. I think there are parts in the story that everyone could shout out together, like "He's gonna eat us all up!"

The paintings are really cute and well-done. I think kids would appreciate the good art.

I enjoyed this book for many different reasons. The pictures were very cute. They showed how suspicious Dot was of her new bother. The story also shows that you cant judge a book by its cover. Dot thought that just because Wolfie was a wolf, he was going to try to eat them all. Dot was wrong and

when she realized it, they became best friends.

This book is about a family of bunnies who find a baby wolf on their doorstep and take it in as their own baby. Their daughter bunny, Dot, is the only one with sense and keeps telling the family that the wolf is going to eat them. This is a good fantasy book because in the real world foxes do eat

bunnies and they are not personified. In all ages you can get something out of this book.
