This book counts from numbers if peas and with each number the peas are doing something. For each action there is a synonym to go with the action and an illustration to go along with the action word. This is a great book to use during word time when learning about synonym's and how they relate to

action words. It has lots of repetition that is helpful for younger students to be able to repeat, aloud, what they are reading and to learn the words and numbers better. I also really enjoyed how it started off with single numbers (1,2,3,4, etc) and then it shows how to skip (10,20,30,40,etc).

It is great that this is a counting book fro 1-100 for toddlers as opposed to just 1-10, and also great that it has bright and engaging imagery and of course the humor of the man activities the peas find themselves in as they count from 1-100 is likely magnetic for toddlers, however admittedly I
Show More
was a bit jarred that the numbers jump in the series in getting to 100 in the way that they do. I feel this could be a bit confusing for a young reader who is just getting introduced to numbers unless the dialogue is explicit from the adult/practicioner. Therefore, I may not suggest this for classroom use unless it is used along with a lesson plan about numbers in sequence or the identification of the missing elements in this book.

The counting scheme in this book is like a game that children who are learning how to read can play. Each page is filled with fun words and number that makes you want to get up and play with the Peas. The book portrays the number very large on each page so that they stand out when the children read

it. It is also bright and colorful which helps make it memorable.

Hundreds of peas counting their way to 100 in rhymes. This book has a great educational value in teaching young children how to count and how to rhyme. It is a good book for preK to K students.

I did not like 123 Peas. I found it hard to get excited about the illustrations and the idea of counting with peas. When reading it to my two year old, we like to count the peas. However, the peas blended into the illustrations too much and were difficult to locate.

A fantastic counting book that connects each number with the numerical amount of peas, and the peas are all doing different things.

Fun to count AND to be excited about peas! This book would be fun to sing out loud and bring in peas for students (mostly kindergartners would benefit from this) to count with. The art style is simple and colorful enough to engage readers to look at what (and how many) peas are doing! Repetition
Show More
happens with every new number so this book would be great to have students read aloud.

I think this is a great concept book. It not only teaches children to count from one to ten but also by tens. These are two different concepts. I also like how the peas in the pictures are actively doing something the children can relate too.

Not my favorite of the peas. I can just imagine a kid wanting to count all the peas on 30-100. But I still love the illustrations in this series.

in this board book the peas count from 1 to 20 and then by 10s to 100. This book is filled with bright, vibrant numbers and all of the peas as they accompany the numbers on their adventure to the number 100. I think that it is a very cute counting book that parents can read to their children when

teaching them about their numbers.

I wanted to like this because I really liked lmno peas but I found it a little bit confusing. 1-10 was adorable and I loved it but the story then skips over 11-19 and starts going by 10's. I love the concept and I feel likes it's fun but I'm wondering if the sudden the change in units would confuse
Show More
the kids since it seem to have confused me for a minute....

This 123 book introduces the numbers to children. Young children will become familiar with each letter and the order letters go in.

Cute idea. I love the illustrations and I especially love that it explores beyond the number 10! I think this will be a great book when Ellie is learning more about numbers.
