A sloth and a lemur come across a seemingly unclaimed cake. They should probably share it, but they go through a list of other animals and think none of them will quite work. What do they do next?

cake belongs to a tiger, who says he can still enjoy the cake even though the sloth and lemur already ate it. That's a clever kind of amusing as well, but only for the right audience. Caregivers picking up a seemingly cute animal book for youngsters might not all love that twist.

The illustrations are eye-catching and live in a space between pastel and vivid. The various animals are showcased against an otherwise blank background of pale yellow.

slightly dark (tiger eats the two cake thieves) but clever!!

A funny cautionary tale about the dangers of not sharing.
