Summary: George stays home from for a snow day and he is really bored and just sits in the house staring out the window. He then sees slopes of snow in his front yard and decides to go outside and try them out. While playing in the snow he decides to build a snowman and when he puts all the fixings

on the snowman he finds the snowman smiling at him.

Personal Reaction: Such a cute book. I think this will get all children excited to build a snowman just to see if the unexpected happens. Books like this one really help children's imagination.

Classroom ideas: I would read this to my students so they could tell me their personal snowman stories and use their imaginations.

A nice simple story that should pull kids away from the new tablet they got from Santa and encourage them to exercise both their bodies and their imaginations. I enjoyed it a lot. I like how the melting is not a big deal, just a sigh and maybe a sniffle, and let's move along to new joys.
