This clever little book illustrates the idea that simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. My children were so thrilled by each page's instructions and the results on the next page that they wanted me to read the book again and again. Innovative and fun!

“Press Here” is a book that increases the student’s interaction. I like it because the book is basically like a game. The students read the short sentence at the bottom of the page and then follow that direction. As he or she turns the page there is another direction for them to follow. The

dots or pictures multiply as the book carries on, so to the reader, it seems like he is controlling by “pressing” on the items on the page. The pictures are very simple and could be as simple as just a yellow dot on the page. The texts on the pages are very short and surrounded by white space. For example, the first page reads, “Press here and turn the page.” This is really easy and fun book for younger students to read and become interacted with.

Low tech by today's standards, but high in creativity and student interaction. There is still something very charming about concept that is charming for all ages.

I saw an ad for this book and went to check it out--and fell completely in love with it. My face nearly cracked because my smile was so big, and I really can not think of this book without smiling yet again. It's all about the power of imagination, and written in a marvelously clever way. This may

be a children's book, but based on the half dozen people I grabbed yesterday and had them read the book (it only takes a minute), grown-ups get a lot of pleasure out of it too.

This is a really fun book to read and really helps engage the reader.

Press Here is one of the best interactive books. Without flaps are electronics, the reader is taken on an adventure of pressing, shaking, turning, rubbing, twisting, clapping to make the colored dots move around, change and disappear from the page. The story is told through assertive commands like:

"press here" and "try shaking the book." I agree with the reviews that Tullet has found a way to make the book "deceptively simple, and endlessly entertaining." This is a must have book for any collection.

Age Appropriate: 3 to 8 years-old
This book has appeal that goes beyond young readers, older kids and adults can find the amusement and wonder in this unique book.

A fun book for little ones, the reader is asked to touch the book, press on it, blow on it, shake it and more.

I think its great to get pre-readers interacting with their books and that is precisely the point of this one. I love to have this on the shelf for kids to pick up and practice with.

This book is an awesome book that gets kids involved in reading. It allows them to "change" what happens of each page by doing an activity on the page before it! Great book!

Press Here is an interactive book. The student is an active participant pushing the circle and awaiting the result. Surprisingly, the number of actions that occur from pressing the circle is significant. An enjoyable activity that is, perhaps, enhanced by the sheer simplicity of the graphics. This

book reminds me of observing children who enjoy playing in a large box rather than with the fancy toy that had been inside the box.

This is a fantastic, entertaining book with very simple art and text. The author's voice is so inviting and encouraging, you can't help but have fun. I bought a copy for my son and he has been carrying it around, asking people to read it to him, and trying to read it to himself!

I loved the interactiveness and creativity of this book! It captivated me right away and engaged me in the process. Isn't this what we want to do as teacher? We want to engage our students. I think this book would be a fun way to engage students. I had fun reading it as an adult. I can't wait to

read it to my K/1 class. I know they will love it! The simplicity of the illustrations were very appropriate for the book.

Press Here is a deceptively simple book. It is addictively interactive without having any flaps or other bells and whistles. Using colorful dots as illustrations, the author engages the reader from the first page by asking the reader to press the dot and then the next page reveals another dot. The
Show More
reader is asked to press yet again, as well as rub, blow, clap, turn and shift the book to make the dots multiply, change size or move about the page. Within seconds the reader is captivated, using his or her imagination to make the dots come to life. This book works best one on one so that a child can press and rub the dots and move the book by themselves, but it would also be great fun to read aloud for storytime. A terrific pick for children aged 2-5, but a winner for all ages. I really love this book!

This book is great for kids who may be too active to enjoy sitting and reading books. This one asks them to participate. Simple and fun.

Great book for kids, gets them moving and reading.

Press Here is a quasi-interactive book. Children are asked to press on dots, to shake the page, and to rub the dots. On the following page, things have changed. Very, very fun. The next best thing to an iPad.

“Now press hard on all the dots. Really hard.
Not bad. Shake them up a little.
Pretty,

isn’t it? Try blowing on them…to get rid of the black.
Hmmmm. Maybe a bit harder?”

Lots of fun, very interactive, could be great fun especially if you are a great story teller

A simple concept book, that is interactive and fun. I’m surprised no one has thought of doing this before! The reader is instructed to do different actions with the book such as pushing dots, tilting the book, and shaking the book. The actions performed by the reader effects what happens next.

I

think the illustrations are fitting for the book, and it’s entertaining and imaginative how the dots move around throughout the book. The text was engaging and fit perfect with the illustrations.

This little book is wonderfully charged with interactive pages that render the appearance of each page by little colored dots that are being moved by instructions on how to handle the book. I came across this book but passed it up because of the title but I am so glad I did open it and begin to see

the wonder of this book and how it could engage a childs imagination.

Children get to participate in the story, experiencing cause and effect. Great book. 5 stars.

This book takes a simple dot and simple instructions and brings the pages to life. Press here, shake the page, turn the book and you will be on an adventure while the dots multiply, grow and just come to life. Fun and amazing what can happen with such a simple concept. LOVE IT!

Young children will fall in love with this book. The book gives the reader simple directions that when followed, seem to change the dots on each page. This book has a magical appeal for children and will keep them guessing.
LibraryThing member hmischke
I would really enjoy reading this book with young students but I would probably do so in small groups so that the students could all take turns "pressing the button".
LibraryThing member jtabb0709
This is a great interactive book to read with kids. I read it to my kindergartners and they loved it. It starts with a dot and then it tells the reader to do certain things and what ever they do appears on the next page. Such a clever idea. I really enjoyed reading it.
