Description
When award-winning writer David Bouchard first saw the work of First Nations artist Roy Henry Vickers, he was struck by Vickers' reverence for nature and his understanding of Canada's rugged West Coast. They collaborated on The Elders Are Watching, which-now in its fifth printing-has delighted more than 100,000 readers in four languages. The artwork in this new edition has been restored to match the vibrancy of the originals.

verse is also lovely. The themes of this book include culture, heritage, environment and, hopeful reconciliation. Although it was published in 1990, it feels incredibly timely today. I had planned on passing this book along but I think I want to hang onto it a bit longer, to look through it again. Both artist and author live in British Columbia

Pretty pictures, a rather dull and repetitious "poem", a good but rather trite message to respect the land, the oceans, and life. Not bad but nothing to catch the eye.
