Description

On December 11, 1997, the Supreme Court of Canada rendered its decision in the historical aboriginal title action known a Delgamuukw versus The Queen. This book wasn't easy reading, but it was fascinating. It offers a lot of information about the Gitksan and Wet'suwet'en road blocks, pre-settler history of the area and the personal relationships between the people in that community as they fight for their land. It is written in a kind of circular

way, which may be meant to relate back to the worldview of the original communities of the area.
