Description

"Flawed is an adaptation of the 2010 National Film Board of Canada production of the same name. Flawed traces the genesis of Andrea Dorfman's self-image - from the carefree days of her childhood to the gut-wrenching awkwardness of her adolescence, and beyond - as she navigates her romantic relationship with a plastic surgeon and her feelings surrounding her own self image her notion that cosmetic surgery makes people feel flawed."--

This is a book version of the film Flawed, but before you roll your eyes, know that this book was done by the original artist and author of the film. I admit, it’s a movie I have not seen. Flawed is a picture book for adults about one woman coming to terms with herself. Looking at things in new

ways because of her relationship with a plastic surgeon. Knowing that it’s important how you see yourself and not how others see you is the main point of the book. Overall, it all works together wonderfully, for a short, and interesting read, and while geared for adults, I could see it being used in classrooms or after school groups.
