This book can help children understand what germs and teaches them that germs are not for sharing. It teaches children appropriate behaviors when they sneeze or cough. This book also discusses the importance of washing hands.

This board book walks kids through the situations which call for hand washing, and how to avoid passing germs to friends. The tone is pedantic, but may frighten children, since the exact nature of "germs" is never explained.

Marieka Heinlein's illustrations are cute and approachable, but the book

would not make for fun reading time with a toddler.

I would definitely use this book in my classroom to enforce hygiene and healthy behavior to prevent sickness. This book explains how germs can be shared and how to prevent spreading germs. It shows how to properly wash hands or sneeze. I think it would be great in a k-2 classroom (or even older). I
Show More
would have students act out ways to prevent sharing germs and teach them how to wash their hands properly.

Cute book on germs. Kids may enjoy the colors and illustrations. It is good to have kids aware of germs, but at the same time not over-do it so they are afraid of germs everywhere.

This informational board book is fantastic for little ones with germ related issues. It explains the importance of washing hands to flush the germs away, coughing in your elbows to prevent the spread of germs and has an overarching message of the importance of keeping your germs to yourself!

In this season of germs I think it is very important to teach children what exactly germs are, how they spread, and how to avoid spreading them. I've already gotten the stomach flu once this year, so the sooner I could read this book and teach them what germs are, the better!
