The author is a lecturer at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. This work is an "exposition of the Cabala in twentieth century terms". Provides an outline of the general principles and practical examples.

The first half of the book traces history from ancient roots through medieval practices to our

modern epoch. He outlines the Tree "gradually revealing its principles and interacting symmetry".

The 2d half of the book provides application in everyday life. Structure of government, the hierarchy of the church, the basis of economics, the intimacy of a love affair.

Concludes with a study of "man and his spiritual aims". The symbology of the Tree and how to use it. Apparently man is an unrealized Tree in miniature, lower than the angels, but can "choose to rise higher by climibing the branches of himself and so gaining the Ultimate Fruit".[196] With Index.
