One particular interesting note is on making introductions at your tea. Who should and shouldn't be introduced! They should be living miles apart to warrant an introduction. "They are less likely to become enemies after a year or so of tolerating each other's proximity."..

Another unusual insight is the 'absolutely necessary' tea gown. A loose fitting dress to wear when you return home from 'a weary round of calls on a cold, dull day'..'in which one can enjoy tea and a chat in front of the fire before dressing for dinner'. Definitely sums up this necessity!
