Description
It began on a cold day in January, when Alan Stuart Franken took the oath of office and became the 44th President of the United States. It ended 144 tumultuous days later with the words: "Boy, am I sorry." Here for the first time in paperback is the searing chronicle of Al Franken's journey to the White House -- the visionary campaign, the landslide victory, the hookers, the payoffs -- told through confessions of key aides, Franken's own diaries, and excerpts from Bob Woodward's book on the first 100 days of the Franken Presidency, entitled The Void.
Media reviews
[Frankern] is really quite witty—which is much better than being funny—when he is being purely political. But he is barely even funny when funny is all he is trying to be.
Franken has perfect pitch but doesn't know when to stop singing. This, combined with the problem that his song is already playing nonstop on C-Span, makes ''Why Not Me?'' slight entertainment.

This one was a bit redundant and not as funny as the other ones in my catalog. Very poignant though, worth reading. Dan Haggerty as a character in your book is just funny.
