This is a great book because it is interactive with the websites and references. The active dog pictures will appeal to students and answer their questions honestly.

Most of the time when you look for nonfictional books geared for children they either are presented in a direction that is hard to read or understand and in some cases dumbed down for the child. I find this book as being refreshingly different while can recommend it to both children and young
Marty Crisp does a wonderful job of leading each section with a question that has been supplied by others. The answers are then presented in clear short paragraphs that are both easy to read and to understand while the bright pictures match what is being read with an occasional trivia fact that is included.
Your child (and maybe yourself) will find answers to questions that you may not have thought about such as the history of dog, doggy behavior, how dogs influence and what makes a dog a dog. They will be able to get an idea of all the shapes of tails and ears, whether dogs can make us sick and so much more.
Since it is a good starter book on dogs I would truly recommend it for homes that are thinking about including a dog in the household. Can't wait to get my hands on other books within the series!
