I would use this book for a Kindergarten class. It tells different ways to take out their anger. Example: taking deep breaths or telling a friend. If they do these things they will feel better and be happy again. This will be a good way to show younger children what to do to avoid conflict.

This is a book that is written like the song, If your happy and you know it. It informs children of things they can do when they get angry. I.e. banging drums or walking away. It says if they do these things when they are angry then they will be happy again. Very cute!

I read this book to my pre-k

class. I had one realize that it is like the happy song. The kids really enjoyed this book, and giving other ideas of things they could do when they get angry. Everyone got to show me their angry faces, and happy faces. Lots of fun!

As an extension, we sang the original if your happy and you know it song.

This book put me in the mind of if you happy and you know which was something that all kids learned and loved to do. This book teaches children ways to cope with their anger because everyone gets angry.

A great story set to a familiar song about different ways to resolve feelings of anger.

The book is based on the song, "If You're Happy and You Know It." Instead of the traditional song, this one gives strategies on how to handle anger, e.g. stomp your feet, tell a friend, take deep breathes.

Kids are liable to be angry at times, but they also need to learn how to deal with these feelings, learning about what is socially acceptable and responsible reactions. This short book, based on the song "If You're Happy and You Know It", gives helpful hints on how to handle and work through anger

and other frustrating emotions.
The full page illustrations, overlaid with the text, are done in a warm range of pastels. The moments of anger are illustrated only, while the reactions are explicitly written and depicted, giving good reinforcement. This helpful book also sets the action to a familiar tune, one that readers in Grades K-1 will be able to sing to themselves if they are in similar situations.
