A crocodile doesn't like anything to bother his river especially the other animals. If any of the animals come cloe he says he will eat them up. Until one day the crocodile gets a tooth ache and all the animals don't know whats wrong with him, but a little mouse comes to the rescue and pulls his

tooth and offers the mouse an acorn in return. In the end, the crocodile learns that sharing can be a good thing.

I can relate to this story a little because when I was little I sometimes felt out of place or scared. I felt as if everybody else was friends and there were no more friends in my class to be my friend. Although in the end somebody always came up and asked me if i wanted to play.

In the classroom, we could draw or color people sharing their things or toys with each other. We could also draw our own jungle with a whole bunch of animals sharing the water.

In this story there is a big crocodile that is very selfish. He will not let the other animals drink or bathe in his river. So, the other animals have to go miles out of their way to get something to drink. Until one day they heard a groan coming from the river and when they went to check it out

they saw the crocodile laying on his back holding his jaw in pain. The animals were scared to get to close to him but there was a little mouse who was not scared at all. The little mouse crawled in the crocodiles open mouth and pulled a cracked tooth. The crocodiles pain was gone and he was so happy. He then let all the animals drink and swim in his river.

I enjoyed this story. It is a great story on how to not be selfish. I think its a very good book for children to read so they can learn about how to share things.

After the story the classroom could each tell about a time when they shared with someone and felt good about it.
