bacon! He yells at the dog and then the dog runs outside upset and crying. Charlie feels bad and takes the dog some of his dinner and shares it with him.

Personal Reaction: This is a good story for young children to read and listen too. The moral of the story is to learn how to share, even with strangers. It is a great book to read to children starting school for the first time.

Classroom Extension Ideas:
1. Ask the class why it is important to share.
2. Have the class get into groups and each draw out things that they do not mind sharing with others.
