This was a great start to a series, I loved it. Julia was a great heroine, she knew what she wanted and needed, she wanted a child and she needed her husband, but knew he wouldn't be too happy to cooperate, so she had to be a little sneaky about it. They've been separated for 8 years, not that

Julia had a choice. Nick, The Duke of Colton didn't want anything to do with his wife when he married her and left the country without consummating his marriage to engage in drinking, gambling and whoring.

This is a really hot book, in the beginning Julia tries her best to seduce her husband in the disguise of a courtesan, after she asks for lessons from a well known madam.
But the story also gets intriguing as we learn that the Nick's life has been threatened while he was abroad and when Julia finds her self pregnant, Nick sends her to his family estate, not believing the child is his until it is born, and she has an accident while she is walking the family grounds, which Nick is suspicious of.

There are a lot of questions in this book, can Julia deceive Nick, who is attacking them them, why, will Nick ever be able to forgive Julia for tricking him, will they ever have a future together?

This was a wonderful book which I really enjoyed. The characters matured and grew together as the story progressed, Nick especially had a lot to learn.
I would highly recommend this book, and I'm can't wait for the next Wicked Deceptions story. 5/5.
