User reviews
I did enjoy the story and Lady Marcia was a great character. I loved her spunk and admired her for how she handled her problems. In the beginning I really liked Finn, however, by the end of the book I was completely turned off. I guess if I were Marcia, I would have definitely fallen for him. I also did not love Duncan in the beginning. I completely thought he was arrogant and I was turned off. I don’t know that I was really converted to liking him by the end of the book, but thought he had integrity and things would work out for everyone.
Lady Marcia is traveling to her family in Ireland for a wedding. She is being escorted by Lord Chadwick and his brother Mr. Duncan Lattimore. Marcia is smitten with Finn. With Marcia only 15 years old she does not have the knowledge to realize that Finn is a rake. Marcia looks at Finn and sees someone that looks at her as a woman someone that will treat her as an adult. Little does she know that Finn does not care about her age?
You could say that Marcia and Finn had a whirlwind courtship but someone quickly put an end to it. However Duncan was only interested in one item Marcia had.
I know you are wondering what makes this romance different than any other romance book out there. Well, Kieran has made some tough challenges for Marcia to face. Yes, all books in a specific genre have the same plot, it is up to the author to create challenges that will draw readers in. The more different or difficult the challenge the more interested readers will be. Well, Kieran has created some great and interesting challenges. While reading this book I did not just get to relax and release stress from the day, I got carried all the way to Regency England. It was wonderful.
Thanks for such a wonderful read Kieran. I am so looking forward to the next book in this series.
