I was enthralled with this story. I absolutely loved the overall feel of "don't judge a book by its cover" kind of attitude. Gabe is a mouth watering testament to temptation. I loved his character, and could wait for him to find the happily ever after. This was such a fresh feeling to experience in

this novel. Understanding and siding with the male character is not my usual reaction in a romance novel. Elle character spent more time frustrating me than I cared to endure. She was just so completely hoity toity in the beginning, but as the story unfolds and I had the chance to really learn her true character it was easy to understand her. She was the picture of a victim of life. Everything else around her determined her choices and happiness. Or so she thought; until she unexpectedly met one heart stopping, smoking hot Gabe... The only complaint I have about this book is that is over. It was so short, and all I want now is more. Show Less

WRONG BED, RIGHT GUY, by Katee Robert, was a quick fluffy and sexy read. This novella (at around 144 pages) starts off with our main good girl trying something out of character for her...like jumping her boss while he is sleeping. But in her case, halfway through foreplay she realizes she is not in
How awesome of a first chapter is that? Immediately these two characters had skipped the dating and went straight to the sex, which made their "getting to know you" process that much more enthralling. Elle usually chose (and had been burned by) men like Gabe in the past. But looks can be deceiving. A series of miscommunication between the two makes for really the only conflict in the story, but that's okay, the chemistry between these two was utterly fantastic I rooted for them the whole time.
This is really a great quick read for anyone who is looking for an amazing story with flawless dialogue and constant chemistry between the two main characters.

Immediately these two characters had skipped the dating and went straight to the sex, which made their "getting to know you" process that much more enthralling. Elle usually chose (and had been burned by) men like Gabe in the past. But looks can be deceiving. A series of miscommunication between the two makes for really the only conflict in the story, but that's okay, the chemistry between these two was utterly fantastic I rooted for them the whole time.
This is really a great quick read for anyone who is looking for an amazing story with flawless dialogue and constant chemistry between the two main characters.

When I picked up this book I was reading a lot of paranormal romance and was looking for something completely different and this book gave me exactly that. I was a fun, fast, hot read that was completely refreshing.
Since this was a contemporary book there wasn’t any action like I am used to, but
The banter between these two was hysterical and peppered all throughout the book. A few of my favorite examples are first from Elle:
“Don’t call me babe. I’m not a floozy. Or a freaking talking pig.”
And then from Gabe:
“Don’t you ever let your hair down? If you did, it’d probably help with the stick you have shoved up your ass.”
As for the romance, holy smokes was it hot! I knew there was going to be some great tension between these two after the first chapter, but what Katee gave us exceeded my expectations. The club scene alone was one I relished and will not be forgetting and time soon. I loved how Gabe was not afraid of showing anyone how much he was into Elle. He may look like he is non-approachable with all his tattoos, but he is a romantic at heart and has decided he really wants to settle down. Appearances can often be deceiving and that is very true in both characters cases. Their chemistry was amazing and it was easy to root for these two to get past the issues that stood in the way of them being together.
Overall, I loved this book. I am not a contemporary girl at heart, but Katee has made a fan out of me with this book. It was on the shorter side, but I still felt like I got everything I was looking for. If you are not so sure about this book, I would recommend reading the first chapter and seeing what you think. If you are not completely hooked by that first chapter than I am not sure what to tell you. I was cracking up after I read it and knew immediately this was going to be a book I was going to enjoy. I am looking forward to seeing Ian and Nathan get their own books as well.

the development of the characters themselves was enough to keep me interested. Gabe especially held my attention. I am a sucker for a guy with tattoos and I loved how we got to learn so much about the ones that Gabe has. Katee described the tattoos in such great detail. I was completely absorbed in those moments, wanting to learn more about how they looked and what they meant to him. Tattoos can say a lot about a person, and Gabe’s spoke volumes. Most of them had a great story and I thought it was a clever way for Katee to give us more insight into his character. As for Elle, my heart went out to her after that first chapter, but her condescending tone with Gabe rubbed me the wrong way at first. She did make a snap judgment of him, but luckily she was willing to give him another chance and I adored her by the end of the book. Normally I would not rate a book I abandoned at 20% but this is truly one of the worst books I have ever encountered. The girl, Elle, is profoundly morainic. (She is of age, but she is a girl. She sneaks into the bed of the boy she likes who is her BOSS to seduce him and she uses the term
The guys are hilarious. Nathan (the boss/target) is supposed to be this man of quality of whom her mother will approve because he owns a gallery that displays "every type of art" and is a leader in the art world . . . of SPOKANE! Additionally, he has a "cultured aura" which is something I have not personally seen, but I would like the author to draw me a picture because I don't have any clue what that would look like -- is it tweedy, does the aura drink scotch, read Beckett for fun, and wear cashmere socks? Nathan's brother Gabe (the mystery orgasm giver) is considered far beneath him because he has a lot of ink and owns nightclubs "in all the major cities on the west coast." I did not get far enough to determine if Spokane counted on that list. No shade, I am sure Spokane is lovely (other than a cab ride through it from SeaTac to a conference at Gonzaga I have never been) but it is not a capitol of the art or nightclub worlds.
Anyway . . . in the first chapter girl climbs into bed with the "wrong man" and has her first orgasm (I believe she has has sex only once before, but that is not 100% clear.) She sees the giver of orgasms in the light, realizes it is the wrong guy, and runs out before anything gets penetrated and then says over and over she "almost slept with him!" Apparently she is under the impression that sex has not occurred because of the lack of penetration. I know this can be considered a gray area, but can we all agree that if you are with someone who is not a medical professional or porn camera operator and at the end of the encounter they could identify your vulva in a police lineup you have likely "slept together?" Then she worries that the reason this man was in her boss's bed is because he is her boss's lover but they she decides that is impossible because said man was attracted to her. Her friend (whom she actually shares this experience with!) confirms the original target is not Gay because her friend hooked up with him. Are there no bisexual people in Tacoma? Is there an ordinance that demands residents who are bi pick a gender to boink and stick with it? And is there an ordinance banning a gender spectrum in order to support the unilateral fucking rule? It is really confusing.
Not that it matters given the content, but I assume Ms. Robert failed freshman comp, because the writing is painful to read and the story makes no sense. For instance, Elle goes to work the next day and Gabe (orgasm giver) shows up and she treats him like dirt. She assumes there is no reason he could have a legit reason for being in the gallery despite the fact that the night before he was an overnight guest of the gallery owner.
The whole thing is sort of painful to read, but it's hard to feel the pain when you are so busy laughing.
