Fiction. Romance. Suspense. Historical Fiction. HTML: Only a Scot can steal her heart. There's nothing ladylike about Katherine Killin. She's a spitfire who cannot be tamed. To rid himself of her, and to honor a truce set by the Duke of Glencoe, her father agrees to wed her to his clan's mortal enemy, Ben Rannoch. Bedding the Highlander by Sabrina York with forward by James Patterson is a deliciously wicked Medieval Scottish Romance. Set against the backdrop

of the Scottish Highlands.

Quick read, only approximately 160 pages, but WOW. Easy to read with snarky characters, witty diagolue, steamy romance, a bit of danger and suspense, plus an air of mystery that surrounds the characters. There was some laugh at loud moments, as well as some extremely serious moments. All together, these elements makes for some entertaining reading.

I enjoyed watching Kirk and Katherine, find true love and their HEA. They were a perfect match, both dominaning, opinionated, likeable, and they both will capture reader's heart, if not their heart then at least their interest. Elise's sister was meek and even spoken, Katherine was determined to keep her safe from their brute of a father, and brother. Katherine at first was a bit hard to like, she lied, keep a huge secret from Kirk to get what to wanted. She was afterall, betrothed to Kirk's brother and Laird, which, was by the way, an unwanted marriage, but overall it was easy to understand why she did the things to did to protect herself and her sister. Very entertaining and enticing!

The secondary characters helped bring this story to fruition. I can't wait to see if, Ben, Kirk's eldest brother and Laird of the Rannoch clan, Brodie, a friend, Elise, Katherine's sister, Heather, Kirk and Ben's younger sister, and Paden, will have stories of their own, I hope so anyway.

A perfect read for an lazy afternoon, can easily be read in one setting. Fans of Medevial Scottish Romance, quick reads, longer than a Novella, but not as long as a full length novel, snarky characters, strong female characters and brawn Highlanders, I feel will enjoy "Bedding the Highlander". Ms. York did an excellent job of bringing these characters to life through the pages of "Bedding the Highlander".
Enjoyable and satisfying read! Strongly recommended!
*Be aware, there are some steamy moments between Kirk and Katherine. Nothing demeaning, and only a few scenes.* I do hope you will pick up this enjoyable and quick read for yourselves. What a great way to spend the afternoon.
