Based on the books I've read so far, I've really enjoyed the Katie series by James Mayhew, and this title is no exception. While all the books have an element of fantasy in them given that Katie can walk into paintings and the paintings then "come alive" so to speak, this book has an extra air of the magical, which I absolutely love. I've shared this book with my toddler class and my preschool-age niece, and both were entirely captivated by the story. This is definitely another great addition in the series and a wonderful book for helping to introduce young readers (and young listeners) to works of fine art.
