He goes all the way to write the Declaration of Independence, which is one of the most important documents ever written.

This is a great nonfiction book for young children. It not only tells factual information about Thomas Jefferson but includes small facts that children would have probably asked him about if he were alive. The illustrations are colorful and cartoon like making it kid friendly to look at.

This book is a vast simplification of the complex life of one of our most intriguing Founding Fathers. Even as an introduction of Thomas Jefferson for very young children, it falls short.
