This is a cute story about dinosaurs who are sick, and how they might act. It asks retorical questions about things they might do, like taking medicine, and acting up then goes back through and tells the right thing to do.

In our class we actually had alot of kids out with the flu. During the

question part of the book I asked the kids if they did any of those things while they were sick, and naturally they all replied no.

As an extension of this book we would go through and say the name of each type of dinosaur on each page.

Summary: This was fantasy because dinosaurs are extinct, but in the book they were going to the doctor and drinking juice and doing any normal thing a human would do. That is just not realistic at all.

Theme: Dinosaurs don’t make a fuss when they’re sick so neither should you! At the end

dinosaurs listened to their doctors when they were sick, and were good to their parents.

history lesson on the dinosaurs and ask each student to do a paper on which dinosaur they like best and why. I can also go on a field trip to see a museum about dinosaurs if the school permitted

How Do Dinosaurs Get Soon by Jane Yolen is an extremely cute book with vibrant, eye-catching illustrations. The first few pages are a series of questions relating to how you think a dinosaur would act if it is sick. It definitely relates to children because the way that the dinosaurs are acting

while they are sick is exactly how children would act when they are sick. Every question Yolen asked pertaining to how dinosaurs would act while they are sick, I've seen in real life with my nieces and nephews. If I were to read this book to them, they would LOVE it. They would immediately start giggling and relating to the story it is them and it also rhymes! Who doesn't love a good rhyme?

A very good rhyme scheme. The book is very simplistic but it gets the point that kids need to do these things in order to get well. It shows that things one has to do when they are sick have to be done. Even if they may seem scary or be new. Using dinosaurs is a fun idea. Great lively illustrations

that complement the text.

This story takes you through many scenarios of when you are sick each presented by a different type of dinosaur. This book is good when learning about sickness, and the doctor. Although i believe this book could be used best when learning about different types of dinosaurs. This book was amusing,

but for educational purposes I'm not really sure it could be used in a lesson because it doesn't seem to focus on one thing.
