This is a great and very visually engaging book that will help even the youngest kids understand why it's important to turn off the lights, turn off the water when brushing teeth, etc. I think it'd be a good choice for a storytime on environmentalism or nature - it would be a short, quick palate

I read this book to my class on Earth Day. It does a great job of giving kids easy things they really can do to help out. Each tip has just one sentence but this book led to a lot of discussion in my class about why each of those things are important.

is made out of 100% recycled materials and the illustration is cut into the shape of the page. The text adds to the illustration as well. The words are written to form shapes rather than straight across the page. I would use this book in a science unit.
