This book is about a little boy who goes into prehistoric times during a dream. He encounters many different kinds of animals. When the dream is over, he finds comfort that he is in his own bed cuddling his favorite dinosaur.

I would use this book in a class during a lesson on dinosaurs. Although the names of some of the dinosaurs would be difficult for younger children, it does include dinosaurs that most children have heard of. The illustrations could be used as a great lesson on textures. I would get out materials that were used in the book and have the children make a book of their own.

very creative. The illustrator used felt to make the dinosaurs and sequins to embellish. The trees were made of yarn.I would use this book in a class during a lesson on dinosaurs.
