The book opens and closes with the pronunciation of eight types of dinosaurs. The illustrations are very simple and look like they were done with markers. The book introduces the idea that dinosaurs have/are different outer shells, claws, backs, sleeping habits, necks, sizes, and tails, etc.

Though

the book is very vague and no credentials were given about the author, it is a great information source. The book would be best read to preschool to no older than second grade.

In the classroom, I would have first or second graders use the book as one of their sources when researching about dinosaurs. For preschoolers I would have them practice coloring outlines of dinosaurs after reading the story. I would have different types of dry noodles available for gluing. This would emphasize different kinds of dinosaur shells and backbones.

2) With this book students can do a creative writing assignment. They can either pick their favorite dinosaur and tell a story of it's life, or they can create a story on how they think the dinosaurs appeared on Earth, or how they think they became extinct.
