Another colorful, inclusive book from Todd Parr, this time dealing with adoption and alternative kinds of families. Simple, but lively illustrations promote an understanding of different family structures and celebrating differences.

This is a book about families of all sorts, shapes, and sizes. As with all Todd Parr books, it is very inclusive. However, this works well with Valentine's Day- "we all belong together because..." Large colorful book and simple text. Good for storytime.

Summary: A story about what makes a family a family (like sharing, teaching, and loving).

Critique: This book is a great example of a simple informational book. It does not have a plot, nor does it have characters, but it offers an explanation of what defines a family.
